Weider Crossbar Home Gym Reviews
This is formerly known as the Crossbow, which is a universal gym with bendable bows that create resistance. The resistance can range from 5 lbs up to 240 lbs, with the ability to upgrade the resistance to 440 lbs. The cost is around $500.
Pros: inexpensive, broad range of exercises.
Cons: Difficult to assemble, some of the exercises are impractical and difficult to do.
Poweflex Home Gym Reviews
This is the most popular equipment for the home. This uses flexible bows for resistance, maxing out at 210 lbs, with the option to add on resistance to 410 lbs. The cost, $500 to $900.
Pros: Rowing station, with up to 65 different exercises, folds to fit in a 2 X 3 foot space.
Cons: Difficult to adjust the resistance level, poor customer service.
Tuff Stuff Home Gym Reviews
This is the CFM-555 which is a universal gym with a single weight stack. The cost $1,200.
Pros: Easy to operate the range of motion device, seat back that is contoured for maximum comfort, wide range of exercises
Cons: Bulky in size, difficult to move. No mention of option to add additional weight resistance.
Hoist Home Gym Reviews
Hoist Multi Gym H-100, universal gym that is highly respected high end product with a single weight stack. The cost $1,500.
Pros: Well constructed, durable, wide variety of exercises, nice design that uses little space.
Cons: Expensive, no option to add resistance to the single weight stack.
